I mostly just post on my Acaeum art thread now but will visit heritage tomorrow and check everything out... More art collectors here for sure and if anyone plans a bid and has a question about a piece (in the flesh) I'll let them know how it looks live. Try and get a few notes of all the TSR at least:) Looking to get a Nagel for myself hopefully! Hasta.

Do you have a link to the paintings they are selling?

Just look up Heritage Auctions Mars and then go to the illustration auction and then it will display the auction coming up. It's very soon! A shitload of paintings in that thing with some TSR stuff and other fantasy game stuff and lots of pin-up fare. Also some high end fantasy pieces.

I think there were some good deals but as far as the TSR art goes it was mostly garbage. Especially compared to the recent fare that has been on there. Nagel's were outta my current bid range sadly but someday soon... I also want a Sorayama. I think the Achilleos pieces were good deals! I saw some other stuff go pretty cheap as well. It's crazy for me when looking at the pin-up fare and some of it goes for like 4-6 hundred bucks and others do 4-6K (and then some) and it's like the same quality level and everything...
I think good prices overall but the quality of art was lacking. None of those TSR covers was tier 1 or even tier 2 imo.

Broken collar bone and some decent hospital bills as a result. Sad

Oh well. Whoever is going around as pipswitch claims ownership to several TSR pieces from that auction. Seemed like real reasonable prices. Particularly the Horne which went for south of $2,500.

Looks like the Frazetta was pulled for lack of meeting reserve.

Never liked that Horne. Maybe it's good but compared to his other works from the same period... "Reasonable prices" is a very vague thing Wink
