Ahh yes. Another set of rules in development.
Wal' (Hugh Walters), Stepehen "Andy" Andrews, Dave "Pave" Pavely (teenagers as you may guess) developed these from many sources. Charles Grant and Donald Featherstones works on wargaming WW2 mostly. They were developed for using Britains (and the new Airfix) 54mm figures and various Tamiya etal scale models.
Again, typed up and rough copies made by the group. Pave was in the media dept of ILEA at the time working with print and reprographics equipment and did a lot of work on setups. Later editions with card covers and pretty pictures were made up by "Big John" Herbert and his access to BSI's print equipment and "Little Phil' Short who worked in the House of Parliment's printing sweat shop. That's why there's no publishers info' it was an amateur affair.
We played these all over the place and even got a photo and comments printed in Penthouse (August '76, page 23 - yes, I'm in it! Nyer, nyer, ner!) as, for a few years, Wal' and Dave Rotor (another South East England powerhouse) ran the wargaming sections of the Military Modelling Exhibition every January. 8 hour days for 2 weeks playing games for the public, answering questions, explaining and demo'ing what we were doing... Ugh. I'm too old to go and do that again. _________________ Age and Cunning will always beat Youth and Talent.
