Collector's Arcana: The second edition of the Dungeons & Dragons Expert Set has been redesigned and fits into the new format that was devised for the Basic Set and will continue through the subsequent Companion, Master and Immortals Sets. It contains a 64 page stapled Rulebook as well as the "orange colored" cover of X1: Isle of Dread. It also contains 6 dice and a dice crayon. The Rulebook has insert maps on pages 31-34 and these are sometimes detached and/or missing.

There are two distinct printings of the Expert Set: The first states Expert Rules Set 2 one the box top. This was later updated to Set 2: Expert Rules.

There is an errata sheet for the Expert set (1012XXX0501). This is a single sheet of paper entitled Character Information for High Level Games. It is not entirely clear how this was distributed. It certainly appears to have been "added" to certain sets (probably later printings). In any case, they are not common and certainly were not a feature of all Expert Sets.
